Perspectives on Food and Farming in the 21st Century

  • Columbia Public Library Columbia, MO (map)

We need some representation of our local, young, and beginning farmers at this event!

"The Humane Society of the United States invites our members, supporters, and other animal and food policy advocates to join our HSUS Missouri Agriculture Council and Missouri’s Food for America for a special event: "How We Eat, How We Farm: Perspectives on Food and Farming in the 21st Century."

This panel discussion will feature Dr. John Ikerd, Professor Emeritus of Agricultural Economics at the University of Missouri; Mike Callicrate, Colorado Rancher and President of the Organization for Competitive Markets, and Joe Maxwell, sustainable hog farmer and Vice President of Outreach and Engagement at The Humane Society of the United States, as well as other local leaders on food policy and sustainability and our ag council members.

Space is limited so RSVP today to join the conversation about humane, sustainable farming."
