Details: Richard Knapp (email@example.com) of Central Missouri Grains for Food will host MOYFC for a potluck and farm tour! Richard has offered to fire up his wood-fire bread oven to bake bread from his Turkey Red harvest, if there is interest in seeing that process. Potluck dishes (if vegetarian) can also be cooked/warmed in the oven. PLEASE EMAIL RICHARD DIRECTLY TO LET HIM KNOW IF YOU WISH TO MAKE USE OF THE OVEN.
Directions: From the corner of Scott Blvd. and Chapel Hill head west on Chapel Hill. Cross Perche creek and enter the Perche Creek bottom. As the land rises out of the bottom, a gravel road intersects on the left side. That's Coats Lane. Turn left and go .6 mi.. The road makes a sharp bend to the right and crosses a small creek. The driveway is about 100' on the right. You can't see the barn from that point but you can see an old rusty grain drill. If you miss the drive, you will come to Celtic on your right. Turn around and you will be able to see the barn as you head east. // Or from I70 at Midway take the UU road south about 3 miles to Gilespie Bridge Road then 1.2 miles on GB Rd. to a gravel road (Coats Lane) on the right. Follow the directions above for Coats Lane.
