Winslow’s Farm in Augusta, Missouri, seeks farm manager(s) for 2019.
Job description: To grow vegetables for a ~40 member CSA, 2 restaurant accounts in STL, and manage 200 pastured laying hens in mobile coops, as well as pasture/fence mgmt for rotating 10 head cattle. The farm is partnered with a restaurant in St. Louis, where the retail eggs and CSA shares are delivered. Farm is well equipped, including a 40X60 mobile high tunnel and large greenhouse. This is a secure, salaried position for an experienced young farmer, or a couple, including on-site housing. Current farm manager will be available as a resource with crop plans, labor outlay, equipment experiences, etc. Tentative start date is Jan 01 of 2019, but if things move quickly, we will facilitate the transition earlier.
